The Vedic–Vedantic Studies and Research Institute (VVSRI), New Delhi, organized a Two-Day Workshop on “Granthasampādanaśāstram” (Textual Editing Methodology) in hybrid mode at its premises and through Zoom. The workshop aimed to provide systematic training in Sanskrit textual editing, manuscript collection and comparison, and critical examination of readings. The sessions were conducted by Prof. Narayan Pujar, who explained both theoretical principles and practical techniques such as manuscript genealogy, identification of scribal errors, preparation of critical introductions, and use of critical apparatus. With participation from over 60 scholars, students, and faculty members, the programme strengthened research skills and promoted manuscript-based scholarship, contributing to the preservation and academic study of India’s textual heritage.
